Where and when?
Our christian spiritualist church in Hexham serves the whole of the Tyne Valley…and beyond. We meet on the LAST FRIDAY of each month, at 8pm in The Chrysalis Club, Unit 1, Dene Park, Corbridge Road, Hexham, NE46 1HN.
There is also a Facebook page for the church where you can get more information and last minute updates. Once you’re logged in to your Facebook account, click on ‘Hexham Spiritualist Church‘.
We have a £5 entry charge to cover the cost of renting the hall, mediums’ expenses etc… but a raffle ticket is included. You can also purchase extra raffle tickets for £1 a strip, to be in with a chance of winning one of many dazzling prizes 😉 But for a fiver, you do get a great night out with tea or coffee, and biscuits, to finish. What’s more, you may well get a message from someone you haven’t seen in some time.
We had to move from the ancient Moot Hall as access for those with a physical disability was impossible. You can find a list of the meetings for 2024 here.
Note that the medium for any particular meeting can change at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances 😉
What to expect
The service starts at 8pm with prayers and sometimes a healing hymn. We have a guest medium each meeting who then takes the remainder of the service, providing evidence and reassurance to those who need it. At about 9:30pm, the service closes with a prayer. Some mediums ask for extra hymns but the pattern is essentially the same each time.
Normally there are 30 or so people in the congregation, many of whom come regularly. If you’d like to visit us for the first time, you’ll be made very welcome…please be assured that no ‘spirits’ or ‘spooks’ will appear during the service…at least, not so far. To be honest, most of the mediums would be first out of the door if that happened 😉
Healing is available from our fully trained and certificated healers from 9pm. Once the service is over, you are welcome to join us for tea, coffee and biscuits…it’s also a chance to ask any questions.
The church closes shortly after 10pm.
PLEASE NOTE: this is a new venue and there is access for disabled visitors.
