I worked in IT and electronics for most of my working life. I’m fairly happy to let the younger generations take on the latest technology…for me, resistors, capacitors, valves, transistors etc were components. Nowadays machines take care of those and the components are complete circuit boards and assemblies…fault finding and repair down to my idea of ‘component level’ is a thing of the past.
There’s nothing I like more than tinkering with and using equipment from the 1980s and earlier. That’s my ‘nostalgia point’ and most of what’s on my website is focused on it.
This section is all about some of the companies that I remember from those times, their products and ideas…and of course, some of their equipment that I, and others, still own and use.
